You may need to resubmit your assignment if you made changes after submitting, or if your lecturer has given permission to resubmit.
Resubmission before the due date
In most cases, you can resubmit your assignment before the due date.
What to know
- Uploading a new file will replace your previous submission permanently
- Your earlier submission cannot be retrieved once replaced
Turnitin attempts
- You can resubmit up to three times and receive a Similarity Report immediately
- After three attempts, the Similarity Report may take up to 24 hours to generate
If you have issues
If you are unable to resubmit before the due date, contact your lecturer for assistance.
Resubmission after the due date
If the due date has passed, you will not be able to resubmit unless your lecturer allows it.
What to do
- Contact your lecturer
- Explain your situation
- Request permission to resubmit
What happens next
If approved, your lecturer may:
- Delete your previous submission so you can upload a new file, or
- Request that you send the file directly to them
Important information
- Late resubmission may be subject to penalties, depending on your unit requirements
- Resubmission is not guaranteed after the due date
- Resubmission attempts are shared between you and your lecturer
- If your lecturer uploads a file on your behalf, it will count as one attempt
