How do I request a reduced study load?

PURPOSE

Use this if you would like to reduce the number of units of study for an entire semester or teaching period

APPLICATION CHECKLIST

• Began studies: You must have already started your course. You cannot reduce your load if you haven't commenced.
• First-semester students: If you were accepted as a full-time student, you must study a full load in your first semester.
• Deferral fallback: If you cannot manage a full load in your first semester, you should apply to defer your studies to a later intake.
• Visa implications: A reduced load can extend your course duration, which may require you to extend your student visa. You must organize and pay for visa extensions yourself.
• Request status: This submission is a request only and is subject to formal university approval
