Some students may find it more convenient to read information on the web in their own native language. This could include the College website, ExO, online readings, or any other website or URL you are required to go to for your studies.
A quick way to do this is to use Google Translate. This requires you to use the Chrome web browser, which you can download here if you don't already have it.
Once you have opened Chrome, simply do the following:
1. Go to the website or page (including ExO) that you want to have translated.
2. Right-click anywhere on the page and select 'Translate to English'.
3. A box will appear like the one below - click on 'Options'.
4. Change the 'Translation Languation' to your desired language and click on 'Translate'.
Your page should now be translated.
You may also notice a small icon on the right side of your URL bar (see below). Use this if you need to change your translation preferences in the future.
IMPORTANT: When writing posts in forums on ExO, it is advised that you revert back to English by clicking on the icon and selecting 'Show original' so that you ensure your post is written correctly and can be read by your lecturer.
